The post before last was of our trip to Kentucky and our visit to Centre College campus for a football game. Travis found this slideshow the other night on the college website. An icestorm went through and just destroyed the trees. Check it out.

Little Birthday Girl

Ok, now I see how long it's been since my last post. I'll try to catch up, starting with birthday. GraceAnn turned 1 on January 26th. I can't believe the last year went so fast. It seems like it was just yesterday I held her for the first time, and brought her home, and prayed she would stay asleep for a few hours at night....
We had a party at our house (which is STILL for sale) with Travis's family and Mark & Jenn and Trey and Gina. It was a housefull, but it was fun. We only wish the rest of the family could have been there.

I made her a cake, which Mark said was much too decorated for a one year old's birthday cake. I told him to hush up because a one year old needs a highly decorated cake.

Here are a few of the pics...enjoy.

Notice the tiara...Kim's dad bought it for her in Vegas, and I thought she should wear it for her birthday. Her bib says 1st Birthday Princess. Fitting, no?

And the heavily decorated cake. I had fun making it. It was fun to make a birthday cake for my baby girl. After waiting so long to get to do it, I was going to have fun with it.

When we presented her with a piece of her cake, she wasn't too sure what to do with it. She poked at it a little bit at first, and looked at her fingers.

It didn't take too long for her to figure out what to do. That icing it pretty good.

This is a picture from her actual birthday. We gave her a little pink baby grand piano. It was a big hit. She loved it and plays it whenever I play my piano.

It was such a good day. We took her out to Olive Garden for her birthday dinner (not that she would have noticed otherwise). She had the spaghetti.
